Fans are well aware of the magnitude and scale of "Grand Theft Auto's" success and influence in the gaming industry. As such, "GTA 5" has yet again made its mark by releasing the latest update for its GTA online with the new "Deadline mode."

"GTA 5" is the latest installment to Rockstar Games' iconic franchise. The game boasts itself with its open world action-adventure gameplay features. On top of that, there is also an online multiplayer feature to the game, which pits other players amongst each other in a virtual playground world.

As such, Rockstar Games has released tons of downloadable contents (DLC) for its GTA online Adversary mode. On such update listed on its official website is the recently released "Deadline mode," which features the Shotaro Bike.

The site describes the game mode as pitting four players against one another while riding the said Shotaro Bikes, which emits a temporary light trail. These light trails will cause players who come across it to explode instantly. As such, it is advised that players make calculated moves in order for their competitors to come in contact with their light trails.

It was also reported that these new Nagasaki Shotaro Bikes were inspired by Shotaro Kaneda who is the main protagonist of an acclaimed anime film, "Akira," Kotaku has learned. These vehicles were described as lightcycles.

In other news, "GTA 5" was said to have sold seventy million copies since its initial release back in 2013, Forbes reported. The game has totaled this number from all its sales on different platforms, such as the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and the PC.

Furthermore, it is said that "GTA 5" is currently the fourth best-selling game in history. The source has stated that the number of copies sold by "GTA 5" is more than the amount of Wii U and PS4 consoles sold, tops the "Super Mario Bros." by over thirty million copies, and is almost as many as the total copies sold by the entire "Assassin's Creed" franchise.

It seems that Rockstar Games' "GTA5" and its critical success won't be stopping anytime soon.
