iPad Mini 5 has reportedly been just pushed back to a 2017 release instead of coming out this year. The delay is said to roll out with the A9X Chipset and other specs similar to the iPad Pro 2. The latter is also slated to roll out simultaneously with the iPad Mini 5.

Previous rumors claim that the iPad Mini 5 will be released in November 2016. This news came after the product was absent in the recent Apple event that revealed the new additions to the MacBook Pro line with the new Touch Bar technology. On the other hand, the iPad Mini 5 is said to still be in the testing stage and will launch next year instead.

Rumor has it that the Cupertino-based company will also merge the iPad Mini 5 with the iPad Pro. On that note, simpler and analogous design is said to give the lineup a more streamlined approach. Hence, the iPad Pro Mini lineup is rumored along with three variants of iPad Pro 2. In addition, the iPad Air 3 is also expected to be launched as well.

The iPad Mini 5 is also rumored to be a scaled down version of the iPad Pro. The device includes an A9X chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The device is also said to be lighter than its predecessor, PC Advisor reported.

Meanwhile, some analysts reportedly considered the iPad Mini 5 as an abandoned project with Apple events concluded for the year. On that note, analyst Ming Chi-Kuo reportedly predicted that the iPad Mini 5 may in fact launch next year. Furthermore, the device may roll out on March 2017, MacWorld UK reported.

iPad Mini 5 is also said to be the last device in the line-up. The device may also run on the new iOS 11 operating system from Apple.
