Recently, LinkedIn, the social professional network, has released a new salary feature. The salary feature encourages professionals to reach their full earning potential by tracking salary levels in their respective fields and comparing or stacking them against other people in the same field or job level. But LinkedIn has always been known as the best source of job employment in the professional world.

But Facebook is not one to be left behind. Facebook is going to compete with LinkedIn's recruiting capabilities by focusing on their business Pages. Pages will soon promote, not just businesses, but also job listings.

The new feature on Facebook will give businesses another reason to use their pages. It is considered to be a great way to drive traffic to Pages as well as encouraging viewers to check for employment opportunities, cites Tech Crunch. A Jobs tab can be found on the Facebook Page.

Facebook has been experimenting with a few recruiting features and the idea came from the businesses themselves. According to a Facebook spokesperson, they see many small businesses posting about job openings on their Pages. Currently, they've set out a Job feature as a beta test for Page admins. The admins can create job listings and receive applications from viewers who are looking for a career or job. It will feature the job title, the salary, status (part time or full time) and more. Plus, an "Apply Now" button launches the official job application process and will then be pre-populated with information from the user's public profile.

As a tip, this might be a good time to make sure your information on Facebook is updated and appears professional, from your location to your work history.

Facebook appears to be competing with LinkedIn and its job opportunities features. To make it easy for the viewer, a Jobs tab can be found on the Page. Once a successful application is received, the admin gets a Facebook Message. This prompts businesses to use the chat feature for a potential interview.

Facebook users are going to see more Jobs in business Pages soon.
