Surface Pro 5's release is still unknown, and after the October event, there's even unclear information sent out by Microsoft regarding the future of its Surface hybrid tablet.

It has also garnered attentions from the tech and industry analysts as they come up with predictions and clues of the upcoming device for gaming.

Previously, Michael Pachter from Wedbush, said that the odds are high for Microsoft to migrate from console to PC. As a matter of fact, the company is heading there.

Xbox games, for instance, are already available on both devices. That being said, Microsoft could be preparing the next Surface Pro device for gaming where it enables users to download and play the games, GamingBolt reported. 

This may not be surprising since Microsoft would want to expand its potential market. Furthermore, the analyst considers Microsoft's move would be at the same direction as where Apple is going with the iTunes Store.

Surface Pro 5 rumored specifications

Corroborating the analysis, rumors about Surface Pro 5 specs have been heard months ago.

Surface pro 5 is rumored to rock ultra high-definition screen display with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution.

Under its hood, it could sport Nvidia's latest graphics card with Pascal architecture and a whopping 512 GB of internal storage.

As far as the processor is concerned, the Kaby Lake rumored to power the Surface Pro, will be released at the end of 2016. The USB C port and better magnetic attachment are expected to be featured in the device. The Surface Pen will have its own rechargeable feature.

These tech specs will make the device incredible for gaming needs. In fact, it could set a new standard of a hybrid device.

As the Surface Book i7 was introduced at Microsoft October event, the Surface Pro 5 might see the light of day in Spring 2017, CNET reported.
