DJ Khaled has catapulted himself as one of the people users should follow on Snapchat. He loves the social networking site so much that he even documented his child's birth on the platform.

This time, he will be using it for education. Mashable reported that DJ Khaled will be partnering with BET Networks and nonprofit education organization Get Schooled to support high school seniors in their journey to college.

The Miami producer will be using Snapchat and text messaging to help students pick the college they want. Hopefully, this will encourage more high school seniors to get their higher education.

Get Schooled is set to broadcast tours of more than 20 different campuses across the nation. It will be aired through Snapchat until the end of this year.

The account is named getschooledsnap. It will show St. John's University, Howard University, UCLA, the University of Kansas and Spelman College, among others. The schools will be featured three to four times a week on the account.

"Snapchat removes barriers and gives young people a front row seat at life's experiences," DJ Khaled said in a press release, "I am excited that I can advise college students on how to give the best Snapchat college tours so students can share college life with high school kids who are eager to know more about campuses when deciding where to apply."

Get Schooled noted that one in five college-bound students admitted in a survey that they had never visited a campus. This comes even when 93 percent were expected to attend college.

Snapchat's college tour program will give users a chance to see a school's landmarks, buildings and dormitories. According to Billboard, the campaign will also use Personal Statement Coaching in order to give students writing feedback.

College Advisor Text Sessions and College Knowledge Information badges will also be available. They are expected to help guide students through their college careers.

"This is a major KEY so the youth can make the right choices and succeed," DJ Khaled added.
