Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to take on rivals in January 2017. The 2-in-1 PC tablet of the windows-maker company is said to have the biggest weapon Microsoft is about to reveal. Will the new Surface Pro 5 eclipse the iPad Pro 2 series of Apple?

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Features& Specs

Rumor mills are starting to grind for the upcoming Surface Pro 5 features. It is perceived that the upcoming 2-in-1 Microsoft PC tablet will include the Surface Pen, which automatically charges itself when attached to the tablet unlike the previous Surface Pen that needs alkaline battery to be recharged, according to PC Advisor.

Furthermore, Surface Pro 5 is said to be powered by the sixth-generation Intel Kaby Lake processor; however, there are others who claim that the tablet will run on Intel Sky Lake chipsets. Surface Pro 5 is believed to come out with two screen variants, 2k and 4k screen display, but the latter will be more expensive compared to the former.

In addition, at the heart of the Surface Pro 5 is the 16GB of RAM, but there is no information about the internal storage capacity just yet. The next-generation tablet is also perceived to eliminate the traditional ports, such as USB 3.0, that is present in the Surface Pro 4 to give way to USB-C ports.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date

Fans were disappointed when Microsoft has not mentioned any hints about Surface Pro 5 during the Oct. 26 event. However, it seems like there is hope since Surface Pro 5 is said to hit the store shelves in the spring of 2017 alongside Surface Book 2, according to CNET.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Price

The entry-level Surface Pro 4 has a price tag of $899 packed with Intel Core M3 CPU, 128GB internal storage capacity coupled with 4GB of RAM. For this matter, Surface Pro 5 is expected to play around the amount of $899 for the entry-level, $999 for the Core i7 model and $1,599 for the Extreme version.
