With the launching of new MacBook Pro last October, it seems like Apple is giving a signal to the public about killing off their Air lineup.  With the three following reasons, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is considered as the perfect replacement to the old MacBook Air 2013.

Best-in-Class Design

The physical looks and design of the 13-inch MacBook Pro is considered as a precision engineering. According to The Verge, the design has eventually scaled up when the plastic materials in the exterior has been replaced by metal from the bottom extended to the display, while the sapphire glass Apple logo does not light anymore.

Furthermore, Apple has replaced the flat keyboard from the MacBook Air and exchanged it with a thicker slabs. In addition, the expanded touchpad has made the 13-inch MacBook Pro more user-friendly compared to MacBook Air through Force Touch, wherein the trackpad is quicker to response in just one click.

High Quality Display

The high-quality display of the 13-inch MacBook Pro is one of Its notable features. The new laptop has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600, which is 67 percent higher than MacBook Air and is similar to the display screen of iPhone 7 and 5K iMac.

Faster Performance

At the heart of the 13-inch MacBook Pro lie the most powerful processor and graphics chipsets. According to Ars Technica, the new laptop is built with Intel Core i5 with the speed of 2.0 GHz for the CPU and Intel Iris 540 for the GPU.

Moreover, Apple has removed the traditional ports and replaced it with four USB-C ports that is highly compatible with different dongles or connectors to iPhone, USB sticks and wireless earbuds for that matter.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is referred to as the entry-level because of the exclusion of the OLED touch bar that is found in the high-end model. However, as added by the same publication, the 13-inch MacBook Pro that costs $1,499 is a MacBook Air from the inside.
