Blackberry is trying to bounce back from their misfortune in the Android smartphone markets. The BlackBerry DTEK60 is the second unit in the BlackBerry Android smartphone range, which manufactured by a third party company. Similar to the DTEK50, the DTEK60 has been manufactured by TCL, thus, it is now up to BlackBerry on how it will market the phone to its users.

The DTEK60 has a unique feature that can not be seen from the previous model, and it is the fingerprint sensor that allows users to unlock the device and use it for Android Pay. It is also quite bigger as compared to the older model, featuring a 5.5-inch QHD display and a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 fast-charging technology. The design seems to be based on the TCL/ Alcatel Idol 4S that has the same screen, display and fingerprint scanner, according to Digital Trends.

However, the BlackBerry DTEK60 has a security feature embedded within the device, including its unique hardware called the "root of trust." Another notable difference between the DTEK60 and the Idol 4S is the camera, since the DTEK60 has a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, according to the Engadget.

As for the design of the DTEK60, it is said to have slightly rounded display edges, and is said to have a USB C-Type connector. The device also includes the usual package of features unique to the BlackBerry brand, such as the BlackBerry keyboard, its unified inbox tool, and rapid security patches. It has a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM with an internal storage of 32GB.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 is now available for purchase through the official BlackBerry website at the price of $499 USD/ $650 CDN/ €579 / £475. If you make a purchase of the device before Nov. 8, BlackBerry offers a free phone case and a free rapid charger (depends on what region you are from).
