It has been almost 10 months since David Petraeus, former CIA director, put down his papers amid controversies surrounding his extramarital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell. However, student activists continue to pester him.

In a recent video posted on YouTube, the retired general is seen chased, surrounded and followed down a New York City street by student activists at the City University of New York (CUNY) on Monday.

Petraeus was on his way to teaching his first class at CUNY's Macaulay Honors College. It is believed that he accepted the job as a visiting professor to redeem his not-so-good image.

The students can be heard yelling 'That's Petraeus, he's a war criminal!' 'Scumbag,' 'Every class, David!' 'Petraeus out of CUNY,' 'Fascist,' 'You've got blood all over you! I can smell you!' and 'You disgusting imperialist!'

'Disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself,' said another protestor.

The students plan to protest on a weekly basis, before every lecture.

Despite the repeated insults hurled his way, the former four-star general maintained his composure and silence, and did not respond to the crowd the whole time.

Petraeus commanded the U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a top graduate at the United States Military Academy, United States Army Command and General Staff College. He also taught at the United States Military Academy.

The Iraq war commander earned a master's degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and a Ph.D in International Affairs from Princeton University. He held a fellowship at Georgetown University.
