Apple will be making its announcements on its new laptops at a media event in Cupertino on Oct. 27. There are no details about the content of the announcement yet, but new information about a great change when it comes to their laptops was hinted. MacBook Pros are going to go on full USB-C.

A source said that Apple will reveal their 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro that does not have USB ports, a Magsafe connector, or Thunderbolt 2 port. Apple will go all out into the USB-C and Thunderbolt 3. Apple will also phase out its 11-inch MacBook air upon the release of the new Pros; however, its 13-inch model will still be available, according to Apple Insider.

Using USB-C ports require a good enough of time before a user can get used to it. Most of the accessories in the market today have not yet adapted the USB-C port. Therefore, buyers of the new MacBook Pros have to also purchase an adapter or a multiport USB-C dock so that all other devices can be plugged into the new Pro.

Another boasting features have been added to the new Pros, such as its slimmer and lighter build, an OLED touch display that is meant to replace the keyboard functions keys, and the Touch ID. All of these features can back-up the functions of the USB-C, thus, convincing those who are still in doubt about using the USB-C adapters.

The Touch ID technology of the new MacBook Pros may have a fingerprint sensor, which could simplify its security function, as well as it activates Apple Pay that can be assisted by macOS Sierra's support of the payment system.

To sum it up, the 2016 Skylake MacBook Pro will have an OLED touchbar and Touch ID. It now has new and thinner chassis, so it is now faster and has longer battery life. Its USB-C ports have Thunderbolt 3 support. The new MacBook Pros are available in 13" and 15" screen sizes, Mac World reported.
