The company where students have their internships not only affect their academic goals - it also has an impact on their future career. Choosing the right company, where you can gain relevant work experiences and skills, can make or break your goals professionally.

Vault.com previously revealed its rankings on the companies that have the Most Prestigious Internship Programs, with Google, Apple, Goldman Sachs & Co., Facebook and J.P. Morgan taking the top five spots. Other companies on the Most Prestigious Internship Programs list are Microsoft, Tesla Motors, Morgan Stanley, The Walt Disney Company and Twitter.

Evercore's Advisory Summer Analyst and Summer Associate Program got the top spot for Vault's 50 Best Internships list. Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP's Summer Internship and Elliott Davis Decosimo's ENVISION Summer Internship Experience got second and third, respectively. Moreover, the list also includes Nickelodeon Animation Studio's Nickternship Program which was able to take a place in the ninth spot.

Vault also revealed the companies that offer the best internship programs for tech and engineering majors. Capital One's Technology Development Program got the top spot. The company offers three roles in the program: Software Engineer, Data Engineer and Cyber Security Engineer.

Interns will be able to work with talented engineers and interact closely with senior leaders. There are also training and development sessions on iOS, Android, AWS, Open Source Big Data tools, Security and Voice-Driven applications, among others. The program will be 10 weeks long and is available in San Francsico, CA, New York, NY, McLean, VA, Richmond, VA, Plano, TX, Chicago, IL and Wilmington, DE.

Thrivent Financial's IT Internship program is in second place while Garmin International is at third place. Aerospace giant Boeing nabs the seventh place while SpaceX's sister company, Tesla Motors, is at the 20th place.

It was previously reported that SpaceX interns will get the chance to be involved in the design, development, testing and manufacturing of spaceflight hardware. The groups looking for interns are: Avionics (for both Electronics and Software), Dynamics, Launch Operations, Manufacturing/Operations, Propulsion (Engines), Structures, Enterprise Information Systems as well as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) group. It was noted that there may be opportunities available in other areas as well.
