Apple is currently gearing up to unveil its latest products, which may include the much lauded MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016.

Gadget freaks have long been speculating about MacBook Pro 2016's release date, which may arrive before October ends. Moreover, the debate right now centers on whether or not the purported laptop can live up to the hype, and how good it is compared to its predecessors as well as Microsoft's Surface Book 2.

Apple continues to refrain from shedding more light on what to expect, but this hasn't stopped rumor mills from swirling all sorts of speculations around MacBook Pro 2016's release date, specs and other features. Tech gurus believe that the rumored features are likely to be spot on.

Speculation suggest that Apple is expected to unveil a couple of MacBook Pro 2016 variants that includes a 13-inch and 15-inch models. Furthermore, both variants are likely to be powered by Intel's latest Kaby Lake chips; however, in the event of discrepancies, it is expected that the 15-inch version will likely come with an AMD Polaris GPU chip, BGR reported.

Other rumored features included on the much talked about MacBook Pro 2016 is the inclusion of OLED touch strip, MagSafe 2 power port, Touch ID, a Force touch trackpad, and USB-C ports, ZDNet has learned.

In addition, MacBook Pro 2016 is deemed to be slimmer and much sleeker than its predecessor, and is expected to feature a thin aluminium shell, which lies the fate of the 3.5 mm jack.

The removal of the 3.5 mm jack was a key factor that enabled Apple to come out with a thinner iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus; however, there's still no confirmation if the said feature will be ousted or not as Apple has an option to exclude other areas of the MacBook Pro 2016.

Gadget buffs who are waiting for the MacBook Pro 2016 should just wait if the said device will hit the store shelves by the end of this month.
