As Samsung scrambles to recover from the ongoing problem of Galaxy Note 7, the tech company could already be looking forward to its next core product, the Galaxy S8, to pull through customers and restore trust in the tech giant's devices.

The Galaxy S8 is said to be using the latest 10nm chipset dubbed as the Exynos 8895, alongside the new Mali-G71 GPU of ARM, which is expected to be up to 1.8 times more powerful than its predecessor, the Mali-T880, which is used with the Exynos 8890 in the S7.

The Galaxy S8 is slated to merge the Mali-G71 with a screen of 4K resolution at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels for 806 pixels per inch. With these two components, the South Korean tech company seems to tap into virtual reality as the secret weapon of the forthcoming smartphone, according to Forbes.

Recent rumors claimed that the Galaxy S8 will be equipped with a dual rear camera setup, much like in Apple's iPhone 7 Plus. According to the information on Weibo, the Samsung's upcoming smartphone is expected to be released next year.

Igniting these rumors is the recent patent application filed by the tech company that suggests that the Galaxy S8 may come with an optical zoom camera like the iPhone. The patent was filed by Samsung on September 13, Galaxy Club reported.

However, one of the major changes that tech fans can expect with Samsung Galaxy S8 is dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack like the Cupertino based company did with their iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. But, Samsung still hopes to utilize its own proprietary audio connector, same as Apple Inc. uses its own Lightning Connector, based on the report of Nashville Chatter Class.

In addition, the Galaxy S8 is also expected to include an enhanced way of zooming in and zooming out with one finger.
