The next generation smartphones featuring iPhone 7, Galaxy S7 and Pixel phones are said to be water resistant. But only one of them exhibits the most plausible water-proof feature that a user can even take it to the shower.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are deemed perfect for light water-related activities such as snorkeling. But for extreme activities such as parkour which inflict possible permanent damage it appears that iPhone 6 and 6s can sustain compared to Samsung devices according to CNET.

During the torture test for water resistant, the two Samsung smartphones are drip into water with depth of 5-feet for 30 minutes. The audio are distorted permanently but surprisingly the two Galaxy phones still functions after being dried off.

Google Pixel X and Pixel XL

One of the rumored features of the upcoming Google Pixel X and Pixel XL is its water resistant ability. However, Techno Buffalo reported that Google's new smartphones received lower ratings when it comes to Ingress Protection.

The ratings showed that Google Pixel phones cannot survived when submerged into the water for a period of time. But it can tolerate raindrops or sprayed water.

 iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Apple has been using the water-proof feature of its new smartphones during the marketing campaign. Indeed, a report from Mashable can confirm that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus can survive a continuous stream of water just like the shower.

To prove the plausible water-proof feature of iPhone 7, a video uploaded by a surfer through BGR website showed how the smartphone deals with the wave in an easy manner while the owner is surfing. Slight audio muffling is noticeable in the video but nevertheless, the owner of the video said that Apple stand up to their claims that both phones are water resistant at an extreme level.

Watch the video below for further details on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus water torture test during surfing.
