The Swedish video game developer, Mojang, has unleashed its Exploration Update for the PC version of the sandbox video game, "Minecraft." The update adds up a number of new features and content along with some bug fixes to the game.

Mojang claims that "Minecraft's" Exploration Update throws in the Cartographer character in the library, and "Minecraft" enthusiasts can purchase maps from the character that will lead them to new locations, such as the full of rooms Woodland Mansion.

The Illagers, the villager's outcast cousins, lives in this procedurally generated dungeon. As this insidious and spooky characters will not allow any trespassers in their home, "Minecraft" players should expect a fight when they venture there for the treasure in the mansion, according to Windows Central.

"Minecraft's" Exploration Update also adds the video game's version of llamas to the game. The llamas that dwells in the mountains can be equipped with chests to carry items for the players. These llamas will also form caravans whenever "Minecraft" gamers lead one in their travels.

However, this is just a short list of changes from Minecraft's update that features content shown during the annual Minecraft convention (Minecon), and does not represent the final list of changes the game developer will likely be releasing soon, Game Rant reported.

As for the release date of the patch, Mojang claims patch 1.11's snapshot will be up for grabs soon, and an official change-log will come along with the snapshot's release.

An update post on the Mojang blog reads, seven years and counting, "Minecraft" video game is still growing and expanding. They thought it was about time they will add something to guide "Minecraft" gamers through the vastness of the endless overworlds.

"Minecraft's" Exploration Update also includes cursed enchantments, the Observer block, the Shulker Shell and Shulker Box, escape portals in The End, and New command: /locate.
