There are five service academies that are known for providing an education. And not just any ordinary education. They actually offer education that is on par with elite colleges.

The United States Naval Academy is one of these five platforms. The only thing is, students from these five academies must serve their country right after graduation. But according to U.S News, a job will likely be waiting.

One student, Caroline Zottie, spent time in Mideast, Asia and Africa. As part of her academic career, the school requires her to spend time aboard a ship to experience being a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. Zotti says this is the "coolest" part of her academic life. She learned to acquire skills from basic seamanship while sailing with the US Navy. She does so aboard a guided missile cruiser.

Schools like the USNA offer opportunities for students who want to undergo an intensive leadership training program. The students will receive extraordinary opportunities for on the job experiences as a way to acquire skills. This will then lead to post-military careers.

There are a couple of things that are note-worthy about this. The first being tuition is covered by dear old Uncle Sam. Second, a job is waiting for you when you graduate. Students who are thinking about joining a service academy just needs to be ready to wear the uniform and serve right after graduation.

But before you enroll, these service academies also have a college application process. But it needs students to be physically fit. Which means they need to pass a fitness assessment, pass a medical exam and then receive an appointment by their congressional representative or senator.

These are the five service academies students can join:
