Diamond Comics have recently announced the figures of their sales on the month of August this year. The relaunching of DC's Rebirth is continuously providing positive effects, as DC published nine of the ten best-selling comics in this particular month.

August's number one and big winner is Harley Quinn, with a sales estimated as 359,957 copies, Comichron reports. All-Star Batman #1 and Suicide Squad #1 followed the number 2 and 3 spot respectively, together with Amazing Spider-Man #17 coming in the fourth. The Walking Dead #157 of Images just slightly missed the top ten list, ending up on the 13th slot, Inverse reported.

The top-ten list was evenly distributed between rival comic producers Marvel and DC in the graphic novel aspects of the sales. Darth Vader Vol. 3: The Shu-Toran War landed on the best-selling spot, with an estimated 7,098 copies sold. Batman: The Killing Joke Special Edition reached the second spot, and the primary volume of Marvel's new Black Panther series landed on the third spot.

DC retained its crown ending up the top-selling publisher of the month of August, rising its market share to 39.27% dollar share 44.59% unit share. Marvel followed with 30.78% dollar share as well as 32.11% unit share. This is despite the fact that DC is shipping 20 fewer new comics that Marvel last month. on the meantime, Image has maintained it its usual spot in the third place, ending up with 7.66% dollar share and 7.78% unit share, according to IGN.

Fortunately, DC seem to have high sales by not coming at the expense of its competitor publishers. According to Diamond, DC has shipped up to 10.26 million of comic copies in stores in the month of August, the uppermost amount of copies since December of the year 1996.

Hence, it is important to capitalize on the idea that the figures mentioned above only proves that Diamond Comics aren't retailers, similar to Amazon and Barnes&Noble or digital providers such as Comixology.
