You may have seen her in "The Hunger Games" as the sassy make-up and creative manager, or in funny movies like "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno. And although most people know her to be a recurring face in television and in movies, there is one thing that most people do not know.

Elizabeth Banks, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, cites KR CR Tv. Born in Pitssfield, Massachusetts, she grew up with a hardworking family with three other siblings. She was very active as a young child.

Just like her spunk on screen, she was a spunky sports player. She played baseball as a kid and grew up riding horses. She was actually a player in the Little League but then she broke her leg when she slid into third base. It wasn't until she auditioned for a school play that she learned she loved to act. That was actually the start of her acting career.

She attended Pittsfield High School and graduated in 1992. During that time, she was a member of the Massachusetts Junior Classical League. For her higher education, Elizabeth Banks enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania. From there she majored in communications and minored in theater arts. Both of which became useful in her career.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996 from the University of Pennsylvania. Two years later, she graduated from the American Conservatory Theater in California where she earned her degree in the Master of Fine Arts.

Now, she is considered to be the sixth highest grossing actress of all time and the 31st overall. With her ability to be comedic and dramatic, Elizabeth Banks is a flexible and praised actress, director and producer.

With her successful career, she earned multiple awards and nominations. She is also a Hillary Clinton supporter for the 2016 presidential campaign.
