Born in 1960, David Duchovny is an American actor known for his work as FBI Agent Fox Mulder in the long time running hit television series, "The X-Files." Aside from being an actor, he is also a writer, director, producer, singer-songwriter and novelist. And it is interesting to note that his career will not be possible if he didn't get a degree in English.

Aside from memorizing his lines and being on point as a star on "The X-Files" and "Californication," he currently holds, not only a bachelor's degree in English but also a master's degree, cites KR CR Tv. He took his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and his master's degree from Yale University.

As a young boy, he grew up attending the Grace Church School and The Collegiate School for Boys in Manhattan. He said he was the head boy in high school.

After his primary and secondary education, he took his higher education to Princeton's Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time in uni, he loved to write poems. His poetry received an honorable mention from the Academy of American Poets, too.

Keeping busy, he was also into sports. He was the shooting guard in the school's junior basketball team. At the same time, he was the centerfield for the varsity baseball team. After school, he created his senior thesis on "The Schizophrenic Critique of Pure Reason in Beckett's Early Novels."

After graduating, he decided to take his masteral degree from Yale. He started to work on his doctorate degree but was not able to complete it. His Ph.D. from Yale is still unfinished as he was unable to complete his doctoral thesis on "Magic and Technology in Contemporary Poetry and Prose."

Now, if you think about it, he does have the chops to make a fine script. And he already made his mark as an actor. He currently holds two Golden Globes from both "The X-Files" and "Californication."
