While it has been delayed for several years already, "The Last Guardian" will not make it on the initially set release date on October 25. While the game being delayed is a bad new to those who have waited for a long time, there is an assurance that the game will be released this year and not on 2017.

The President of the SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida,  posted in an official PlayStation blog that they have made a "tough decision" of moving the release date of one of their most awaited game, "The Last Guardian". Yoshida said that the delay was because of the amount of bugs which have been found while developing in the final stage of the game. Since, they want to give customers the a polished experience, the bugs must be fixed, thus, the game will be delayed until December 6, 2016.

The game was first announced in 2009 and was suppposed to be released in 2011 for PlayStation 3. It was thought that the game was already gone as it did not show up in any game events. However, during this year's E3 press conference, Sony announced that the game will be released this year on October 6, The Verge reported.

"The Last Guardian" is a a video game which revolves around a kid and a creature in a deep area of a ruin. The young boy was kidnapped and left in a ruin which is located below the surface. It is also where he met the creature.The kid which is controlled by the player will be the one guiding the Sphynx-like creature as it goes up to escape the ruin. The area is filled with puzzles which the boy and his Sphynx-like friend, Trico, needs to solve in order to escape.

"The Last Guardian" is the last installment of a trilogy. The first two games were "Ico" and "Shadow of the Colossus".
