Motorola Moto G Play is launching as Amazon's latest Prime exclusive phone offer at  just $99.99. The smartphone is now available for Amazon Prime members at $50 off the normal retail price.

Motorola Moto G Play is a modest and affordable device that comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2 GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. More specs of Motorola Moto G Play include 16 GB of storage capacity that comes with a  microSD support, expandable up to 128 GB of extra storage, GSM Arena reported.

The newest Motorola device also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter. Additionally, Google's mobile services are also pre installed, including Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube and Google Play.

Motorola Moto G Play is expected to be compatible with all major carriers in the United States. Fortunately, the $99.99 price tag from Amazon Prime is for the unlocked version of the smartphone. However, the catch for the $50 discount is that users will get personalized offers and ads on the their device's lock screen, CNET reported.

However, Amazon is also said to offer an ad-free version of the Motorola Moto G Play but it is available only without the $50 discount. For those who prefer to get the standard, ad-free version of the Motorola Moto G Play, it is available at a $149.99 price point for both Prime and non-Prime members. Apart from this, other smartphones are also available in Amazon's Prime exclusive phone offers, which include the Moto G and the BLU R1 HD.

Motorola Moto G Play is commonly compared to Moto G but it is still believed to be the most affordable model in Motorola's Moto G series under Lenovo's umbrella.
