The supernatural-drama series on NBC, "Grimm" was reported to end after Season 6. The upcoming season will be premiered on January 6, 2017.

It is not a rumor anymore. "Grimm" will end after Season 6, Deadline confirmed. This could be the saddest news to the viewers of supernatural-drama series on NBC.

According to the source, in April, there a news suggested that the supernatural-drama series only received a 13-episode renewal for its Season 6. On Monday, August 29, NBC decided to cancelled the show.

Although Deadline said that "Grimm" will return on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8 p.m., there is a report that suggests that aside from the news that there will be no Season 7, "Grimm" final season will not be aired until next year, according to Cinema Blend.

It is not clear who is the source of Cinema Blend. But Coming Soon said, Season 6 will be aired next year with 13 episodes. The network revealed the airdate of "The New Celebrity Apprentice," which is set for January 2, 2017, at 8:00pm ET/PT.

The network will also premiere a new show titled, "Emerald City," which will premiere with a two-hour event following the "Grimm."

What to expect on "Grimm" Season 6?

"Grimm" Season 6 will start Nick versus Capt. Renard, which is the most awaited fight in the story. Since the forces of Black Claw have been silenced, Nick (portrayed by David Giuntoli) will face Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz).

Renard was elected as mayor in Portland, so it means, he has a power to make his law and order. Now, Nick needs to find a way to protect his city, and even the closest city, especially, his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee).

The Wesen couple, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) are still struggling with bringing a child.

The creators behind the story of "Grimm" TV series are David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf and Stephen Carpenter. Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, Greenwalt and Kouf, serve as executive producers.
