Nick Cannon made an announcement through his Twitter account on August 20 that he is enrolled at the Howard University.

The star of the 2002 movie the "Drumline" is said to live the role he portrayed in the movie on real life.

Cannon, a 35-year-old rapper enrolled at the Howard University Washington D.C. expecting to finish his college on 2020.

In his posted Twitter photo, the well-known rapper displays his enthusiasm over the first day of his back to school experience.
Wearing faded jeans, brown bomber jacket and Timberland boots, Cannon completed his fancy with a peace sign; not to mention his Louis Vuitton backpack to complete the idea, The XXL Mag reported.

Cannon graduated from the Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California in 1998. He was not able to immediately pursue his college degree due to numerous amount of opportunities that opened.

He became a member of 'All That", a '90s Nickelodeon show. He then pursued his music career and later became a TV show host.

It was not long after that he had his very own TV show.

Rumors have spread out on social media after Cannon announced his going back to school with fans comparing his movie role to his present college venture. It was back in 2002, that he played the role of Devon Miles, a Bison Band member and a freshman in Atlanta A&T University on the movie the "Drumline."

Aside from his rapping, hosting and acting career, Cannon is also a known record producer.

He was married to Mariah Carey for six years and was blessed to have twins with the famous diva. Their marriage, however, ended in 2015, after Cannon filed a divorce over the actress.

The actor-comedian is currently rumored dating Chilli of T.L.C.

There are still no reports on what course the 35-year old actor will be majoring, The Naturally Moi reported.
