iOS 10 Beta 6 is expected to refine the features that were introduced in the earlier iOS 10 betas. While it is rare that Apple releases many betas for an upcoming software, many developers believe that iOS 10 Beta 6 will be the last beta to be released by the company before the final version of iOS 10.

Downloading and installing iOS 10 Beta 6 to test is now available for devices registered as developers. For users who have previously installed iOS 10 Beta 5, there is an option to access the iOS 10 Beta 6 over the air from the Settings menu. For instructions on how to get an iOS developer account, please follow the steps below.

• In order to get an iOS developer account, the user must purchase a developer account from the Apple website which costs $99 a year.

• The user then needs to register the developer device in the iOS Development Center and authenticate it.

• Once done, the user can now download the iOS 10 Beta 6.

However, it is important that files are backed up first on iTunes. This is a precaution to protect the files in case the device crashes and loses data, 9to5Mac reported.

Once all the requirements and procedures are completed, the user can proceed with the actual downloading and installing of iOS 10 Beta 6. It is also important to keep in mind that it is better to use an alternate device when preparing to test a beta version of the iOS 10 software. This is due to the possibility of  bugs in the beta that can cause crashes or bricking of the device, Techno Buffalo reported.

iOS 10 Beta 6 was released on Aug.15, Monday at 1 p.m. EDT. It currently supports iPad 4, iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE and the sixth generation of iPod touch.
