Staying in shape or losing weight is one of the priorities and obsessions of most women and girls, but for the "Jane The Virgin" star, Gina Rodriguez, she has no plans to lose weight. Well, her reason is because of her role.

If you are following the story of "Jane The Virgin" since Season 1, it will be easier for you to understand why she refuses to lose her weight. Her role is a women who became pregnant when a doctor mistakenly artificially inseminates her during a checkup.

When she accidentally lost weight after she was chosen to portray the role of the major character on "Jane The Virgin," she was upset.

"After Jane shot the pilot and we got picked up, I got the hardcore flu," she told Self.

Although the show's executives were not happy that she dropped some pounds, they still supported her. After she recovered from flu, she ate foods that she loved.

The magazine learned that the actress was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's disease, an autoimmune thyroid disorder that can cause fatigue and weight gain.

In the season finale, Michael (Jane's fiance) was shot. So viewers were wondering if this character will come back or dead.

In a latest report, the actor who portrayed the role of Michael, Brett Dier, was reported will be back on the set. Rodriguez tweeted a photo of the cast members of "Jane The Virgin."

Aside from that, there are reports suggesting that Jane will have mother-in-law issues.

Jane will face another problem, which is her new mother-in-law, according to TV Line. Although they shared grief over Michael's fate, it won't be easier for Jane to make her mother-in-law like her.

"Jane The Virgin" Season 3 will be aired on The CW on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9:00 p.m.
