Saying that the upcoming Marvel epic, "Avengers: Infinity War" is highly-anticipated is a huge understatement. Since being announced to be the end game of Marvel's Phase 3 movie slate, fans can not help but be excited for every movie that leads up to it. Being a huge epic as it is, Feige announced that the movie will be split in 2 parts. Part 1 will be released in May 2018, while Part 2 is slated for a May 2019 release date. The working titles at the time was "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" and "Avengers: Infinity War Part 2."

Hollywood has made it a habit of splitting a single story into 2 parts. Recnt franchises include the likes of The Twilight Saga and the Hunger Games, who are both adapted from novels, with the last film of the movie franchise being split into 2 movies. While this may very well serve the purpose of having the full context of the movie, and allow more character development, some fans feel that having to wait for a year for a continuation of a story is just too much. Luckily for moviegoers, Marvel may have something much different in mind.

A long while back Feige announced their slate of phase 4 movies, among of which was Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2. In a report by Newsarama, Feige stated that they were not married to the titles of the third Avenger film, and that a title change may come before they start production. Feige was very clear in saying that the 2 parts of Avengers 3 will not be a single movie that is split into two, but rather two separate entities. Russo also admitted that the two working titles are misleading, and he confirms that it will be two different movies.

Well it seems that the wait for a new title is over. According to Collider, Marvel has announced that Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, will now be known as "Avengers: Infinity War," leaving fans to speculate that whatever conflict the Avengers will face in the first film will be resolved, and the second film would be a causality of it.

Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" is slated for release on May 4, 2019.
