Ardent "Final Fantasy" fans have been waiting with bated breath for information on the release date on the highly-anticipated "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." While Square Enix has kept details regarding the impending title under wraps, director Tetsuya Nomura teased a huge announcement recently.

Nomura recently opened up about the studio's plans for a big announcement to draw attention to the game in a specific main event during an interview with Famitsu (via KH Insider); rather than divulging the game in bits and pieces of information in random interviews and trailers.

Nomura, who designed characters for the "Final Fantasy" series noted that the studio is currently gearing up to unveil the next information release, and just like they did with KH2.8, the company plans to roll out the whole caboodle in one go rather than in sporadic revelations.

Nomura noted that he was excited and looking forward to the reveals and urged fans to look forward to it as well.

This hints the studio could hold an event soon, most likely sometime during Q4 2016 amid the unveiling of "Final Fantasy XV on September 30 and the launch of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue" by the holiday season. If rumors doing rounds proved to be true, the event might encompass brand new trailers for the remake, tips on the release date, and probably a playable demo as well.

In other news, Square Enix does not intend to launch the impending remake on Nintendo NX. The decision reportedly stems from the fact that the remake's compatibility with Nintendo NX is missing, Game N Guide reported.

Aside from the teaser that displayed the renowned Shinra Corporation bombing mission introduction sequence from E3 2016, no further details about the looming "Final Fantasy 7" have surfaced.

"Final Fantasy 7" will reportedly roll out in episodes, as tribute to the original storyline. "Final Fantasy XV" will not release on Nintendo NX as well. Although director Hajime Tabata gave his stamp of approval on this, it does not indicate that the chances of this happening is future are nil.

'Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is currently not associated with a release date, but "Final Fantasy XV" on the other hand is scheduled to hit the store shelves on September 30.
