Apple, the company behind the higher sales of rectangular devices is currently engaging into the business of TV streaming. This is to address the issue of not squeezing out more money from its traditional business.

Last Tuesday afternoon, the tech giant company announced the purchase of unscripted TV show, "Carpool Karaoke". Fans of the series which is originally based on a segment of CBS "The Late Show with James", expressed their excitement since their favorite TV show will appear on Apple Music, the company's streaming service.

Eddy Cue, the Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services said in a press release, "We love music and 'Carpool Karaoke' celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audience of all ages." He added, "It's a perfect fit for Apple Music - bringing subscribers' exclusive access to their favorite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride." However, a rumor that says James Corden Carpool Karaoke Series will be for Apple customers only is yet to be confirmed.

According to John Dawson, chief analyst at Jackdaw Research, "They're [Apple] in really good shape as a company." He also thinks that purchasing Carpool Karaoke would eventually lead to establishing a TV programming economics such as Netflix. As a result, Apple can beat Amazon-Prime which cost the subscriber $99 membership plan per annum.

"In theory they're all about building differentiation for Apple Music, but we're seeing some big buys now including 'Carpool Karaoke', which are starting to strain credulity that it's really about Apple Music. It does feel like Apple might be building up to some sort of subscription video service in a roundabout way," Dawson added.

The announcements of purchasing 'Carpool Karaoke' and pulling out a Netflix kind of TV programming were made after Apple released its earnings for fiscal third-quarter of 2016.
