The recent "Ghostbusters" reboot has been scrutinized by many, long before it opened in theaters. The cast and overall tone of the story were at the center of talks.

Now the movie has been shown, and critics have given their ten cents, you would think that the public outcry would die down. Not for actress Leslie Jones, though. Internet Trolls have been feeding on people online for the better part of the internet's life, and news about these kinds of acts are mostly juvenile, while there are some that destroy lives, celebrities have it bad when it comes to these trolls.

In a report by NYTimes, actress Leslie Jones announced that she would be leaving Twitter. This is the result of being targeted internet trolls that send her hateful memes, racist remarks, and even pornography. Also in Jones' statement was her acknowledgement of the amount of criticism that she and her cast mates have had to endure for months because of the internets harsh reaction to their version of the Ghostbusters.

The trolls have edit images of her, some images are outrageously distasteful. Other trolls have resorted to name calling. Racial remarks were also thrown in, much to the disgust of Jones. The comedian also spent some time duking it out with an advocate for the GamerGate group, Milo Yiannopoulos, and with its members, send revolting messages to women, all in the name of gender equality. The trolling even went as far as the trolls creating fake twitter accounts of Jones tweeting out hateful remarks.

According to Time, the director of the recent "Ghostbusters" reboot, Paul Feig has expressed his support for Jones and tweeted out that Jones is one of the greatest people he knows. That an attack on one of them is an attack on all of them. Paul Feig also used the hashtag #LoveforLeslieJ in his messages, which has also been used by other celebrities. Great talents such as William Shatner and Margaret Cho have also showed their support for Jones by using the hashtag. But Feig was also not safe from trolls, and has been bombarded with online criticisms, and even having a fake twitter account set up in his name that send out hateful tweets.
