Gareth Bale broke a fan's nose during the Wales' warm-up before the clash with Slovakia in the opening day of Euro 2016.

The Welsh winger attempted a shot at goal with a freekick. Bale was practicing his "Knuckleball" freekick, or the "Tomahawk" as some fans would refer to. The shot went wayward, and proceeded to hit a fan, which left the supporter with a bloodied nose, Diario AS reported.

The Wales and Real Madrid winger then approached the injured fan, once Bale realized what has happened. It was reported that Bale has apologized to the supporter for the accident. The fan was slapped in the face with a speeding ball, which had left him with a nasal fracture that caused it to bleed.

In a different turn of events, Bale has scored in their match against Slovakia with the same freekick he was practicing earlier in the warm-up. It gave the Dragons a 1-0 lead, which eventually ended up as the winning goal.

Patrik Hrosovsky had fouled Johnny Williams, which awarded Wales an important freekick. Bale took the kick and went for a "Tomahawk" from 30 yards out from goal.

The kick had left Slovakia goalkeeper Matus Kozacik dumbfounded as the ball wobbled through the air and proceeded to the bottom-right hand of Slovakia's net, according to The Sun.

The Welsh national team continued to hold back Slovakia, which ultimately led to their win during the opening group stages of the Euro 2016.

The goal was a repeat of Bale's first goal for the Dragons back in 2006; with the same freekick, and against the same country. Although, Bale's goal from the Euro 2008 was just a consolation goal, as the Dragons fell to Slovakia in a stammering 5-1 loss. Manager Chris Coleman wishes the win would continue for their pursuit of the cup.
