Following weeks of speculations, Sony has finally taken the wraps off its mid-range smartphone, the Xperia E5.

Packed with an array of awe-inspiring features, Xperia E5 is now listed on Sony's official website. In terms of specifications, Xperia EE5 comes with a 5-Inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution, and is powered by a .3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, paired with 1.5GB of RAM.

As far as storage is concerned, Sony Xperia's latest edition boasts a 16 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD card, TimesOfIndia reported.

In terms of dimensions, Sony Xperia E5 measures 144x69x8.2 mm, and weighs 147g. It runs Android Marshmallow OS from Google.

Sony Xperia E5 has a lot in store for selfie addicts; a 13 megapixel main camera equipped with Auto-Focus, Flash, HDR photo and Clear image zoom 3x, coupled with a 5 megapixel front shooter with Front flash. Xperia E5 boasts a new sharing shortcut that facilitates sending photos to friends, colleagues and family.

The device will pack a fixed 2,700mAh battery that according to Sony offers up to 2 days of battery life.

Sony Xperia E5 supports a slew of connectivity options including microUSB v2.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, Cat.4 LTE, NFC, and Dual-SIM, IBTimes reported.

Sony Xperia E5 will be up for grabs in June in 2 colors: Graphite Black and White. The smartphone mirrors the cosmetic appearance of the recently released X series of smartphones that include Xperia XA, and Xperia X, priced at about $734 and $314 respectively.

While the Xperia X is slated to hit the shelves on June 7, the Xperia XA will debut on June 18. Both smartphones geared with dual-SIM support, are available for pre-orders on Amazon India. Sony's Xperia E5 smartphone has debuted in Europe and is priced at $221.
