Acer in collaboration with StarVR is reportedly prepping to make an entrance into the developing virtual reality space. Starbreeze recently divulged that the Taiwan-based tech firm will manufacture its StarVR headset, and their collaborative alliance will encompass all facet of VR technology.

In an official press release via Business Wire, Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint noted that since their launch in June last year, they have had a promising start with StarVR.

By collaborating with Acer, the Swedish developer has shifted gears yet again to cement its position as the leader in first rate VR experiences. Klint added that Acer is an experienced ally as far as hardware is concerned. Klint also revealed his expectations from the partnership saying that teaming up with Acer will help them accelerate in achieving and producing a "high-definition, high-fidelity VR headset."

StarVR has been lauded as promising premium V headset that boasts incomparable high-end VR experience, in fact it is capable of more than what Facebook-owned Oculus or Vive can provide. The announcement hint that the headset will specifically be marketed to enterprise, for application in "location-based" entertainment, according to reports on VG247.

The Swedish-designed VR will be compatible with an array of robust laptops and desktop computers manufactured by Acer. For now, Starbreeze will reportedly only cater business consumers. Acer has not confirmed any plans to release a mass consumer version yet.

During E3 2015, StarVR grabbed everyone's attention with its wide field of vision that replicates a deeply engaging experience depending on what a person experiences and sees in reality. Starbreeze's StarVR outdoes the Oculus Rift's and HTC Vive's 110-degree of view with an impressive 210-degree field of view, according to reports on The Verge.

As Acer continues to bring leading-edge technology to consumers through its ingenious computing devices, the Taiwan-based technology firm's agreement with Starbreeze accentuates its determined quest for innovation and goal to bring technology in blazing time-to-market.
