The 42 coding school which is originally from France will open a campus in Silicon Valley where people from all walks of life can learn for free. A French entrepreneur and business aims for the 42 coding school to teach 10,000 students in the next 5 years.

Learn for Free at 42 Coding School

French businessman Xavier Niel created the 42 coding school in 2013. It offers free tuition and classes for 1,000 people every year in Paris, France and Niel is planning to open another campus in Silicon Valley, USA, Tech Crunch reported.

Niel will allocate a $100 million budget for the Silicon Valley campus in the US. The 42 coding school building in the US will be 200,000 square feet. The computer labority will be fitted with thousands of iMac computers that will be readily accessible to students round the clock.

In a press release, the 42 coding school will have dormitories for 300 students. Their aim is to have 10,000 students enrolled in the next 5 years.

42 Coding School Admission: No Lesson Plans, Teachers or Tuitiion Fees

For those who are interested to learn programming for free, they must be between the ages 18 and 30. To be admitted in the 42 coding school, they need to pass the 4-week coding challenge, Engadget shared. If the applicant thrives in the challenge, they can learn software development for 3-5 years without tuition fees. Applications for the 42 coding school in Silicon Valley are starting and the first batch will begin coding in November of this year.


42 Coding School Radical Teaching Praised By Tech Elites

Tech elites have praised the radical way of teaching in 42 coding school. As to how 42 got its name, Biz Journals points out that it is alluded to the novel "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" where 42 is the answer to "life, the universe and everything."
