A Berkeley, Calif., man ordered pizza and wings from Domino's in Berkeley, Calif., but received mounds of cash instead, The Huffington Post reported.

Mike Vegas, who bartends at AT&T Park, found $1,300 in cash in the box his chicken wings were supposed to be in.  However, he didn't make the discovery until several hours after his meal was delivered.

"I ordered some pizzas and I thought I was going to have the day off. I was going to sit at home and enjoy my relaxation," Vegas told KGO.

After his food was delivered, Vegas managed to eat one slice before he was called in for work. He stuck the rest of the pizza and the unopened box of wings into the fridge.

"My phone started blowing up and I wasn't looking at the random messages. I was at work so I wasn't answering," Vegas said.

Those calls were from the delivery driver who was looking for his box of money because "he'd accidentally given Vegas a wings box with $1,300 that he planned to deposit at the bank after making his final delivery of the day" SF Gate reported.

"About 5 a.m., I got home from work and went to my refrigerator and pulled out what I thought was wings. It turned out to be 1,300 bucks."

Vegas got home from work at about 5 a.m. and went to his refrigerator with the intentions of eating Domino's chicken wings, but what he found was a wad of cash.

"I wrote a Facebook post and of course there's a long list of people arguing you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it, you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it" Vegas told KGO. "I wanted to keep it, believe me. But I can't, I can't do that."

Vegas eventually turned the money in.

"Thank you so much for this, honest people are hard to find these days," Domino's Pizza General Manager Zia Mumtaz told ABC7 News.

Mumtaz decided to reward Vegas' honesty with free pizza for a year.
