Many teenagers are unaware of certain health conditions that can affect their lifestyle. They have all the freedom to eat and do what they want all the time. But due to this poor routine, most of them are at risk of having obesity and problems led by poor blood circulation.

If you are unaware, here are some of the symptoms of poor blood circulation:

The symptoms mentioned do not necessarily mean that you have poor blood circulation, but for you to be sure, the best thing to do is to consult your doctor. If you have been experiencing the symptoms more often than not, it may not necessarily mean that there is something very serious happening in your health, but it is better to ask your doctor to run laboratory tests in you.

Causes of Poor Blood Circulation:

Diabetes

Diabetes is not only a disease that is associated with blood sugar but also with blood circulation. If the blood sugar is high, there is a tendency to build clogs in the blood vessel. If you have diabetes, it is necessary to not just manage blood sugar but also cholesterol and blood pressure level because this disease can lead to more serious complications that affect heart rate and blood pressure level.

Overweight/Obesity

As a matter of fact, being overweight is unhealthy and it causes more serious disease. If you are overweight, you are prone to various diseases and of its effect which is to make blood circulation poor. The simplest way to explain why being overweight/obesity lead to poor blood circulation is because if you have extra weight on your body, your tendency is to feel lazy and get tired easily. In that case, you will always sit or lay in bed. You will also barely exercise and you become physically inactive.

Now that you are aware of some of the possible causes of poor blood circulation, you also have to know how to solve it.

Varicose veins

Increased blood pressure is what causes varicose veins. This is usually found at the back of the legs and it appears as if the veins are swollen. This is most commonly found among women and overweight people.

  • Instant relief for varicose veins is to elevate your legs above your heart. You can place your feet on the table or stretch them up a wall. Make sure you are comfortable in any position. Do these 10 minutes at a time.

Hypertension

Due to poor blood circulation sudden increase in pressure can result in high blood pressure especially when you are stressed at work or did some physical activities.

  • Relax. Relax. Breathe in and breathe out is the first step you need to do when hypertension hits.
  • When you get to ease yourself let the body feel further relief by soaking your feet into a tub of warm to hot water to make the pressure under control. Remember to do this if you already did the first step.

Be responsible for knowing your health issues. Keep in mind those things you need to know when emergency strikes. Always listen to your body to prevent unwanted situations.
