Motorola recently confirmed that its two-year-old Moto X Play Android smartphone will soon receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Meanwhile, T-Mobile is also set to push out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge this week.

Motorola made it known that the Android 7.0 Nougat will soon roll out to the Moto X Play smartphone. Although the Moto X Play received an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update about a year ago, some Moto X Play users expected Motorola to offer another major operating system upgrade.

Several users of the Moto X Play smartphone have been asking Motorola about the Android 7.0 Nougat update for quite a while, but the tech giant avoided to communicate on the matter. Nonetheless, Motorola India confirmed that Moto X Play's update for the Android 7.0 Nougat is in the works and will roll out soon. Unfortunately, there is no estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update, Phone Arena reported.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile is set to push out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. T-Mobile's Product Manager Des Smith revealed the arrival of the software update through Twitter. Smith shared that the Android 7.0 Nougat update should be up for grabs in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge this week, Droid Life reported.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update is not visible on the support page of T-Mobile yet, but some Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users claimed that they started receiving the update. In spite of that, users are rarely reached by the software updates at once, and its launch is usually in phases. Thus, the update could take some time to roll out to all Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge T-Mobile subscribers.

Further details regarding the Android 7.0 Nougat update remain hazy for now. But, the software update comes along with various bug fixes as well as stability improvements.
