Blizzard Get Some Big News For 'Overwatch' Fans, Uprising Event Extended, To Announce A Brand New Space Map [VIDEO]

Blizzard is extending the Overwatch's latest seasonal event, Uprising, due to a small mistake. The "Overwatch" Uprising event was supposed to end by May 1, but Blizzard made some last-minute decision and has decided to extend the big gaming event.

Reports said that the event has ended early by accident, but Blizzard admitted the mistake on a post on Twitter. Blizzard posted on the "Overwatch" Official Twitter account, saying that it was a mistake to close the Uprising and now, it will re-opened the "Overwatch" Uprising across all the gaming platforms.

To get back online, the studio has decided to release a new patch, the "Overwatch" 2.12, to help bring the Uprising special brawl and loot boxes back online. Blizzard has now revealed to the gaming world that the newly released patch "Overwatch" 2.12 has just extended the Uprising event end time until May 3 at 1:00 a.m, the Daily Express reported.

This is not the first time Blizzard has run into trouble like this. The previous "Overwatch" Halloween-themed event also run into trouble like this, causing some stir in the "Overwatch" community.

Blizzard's "Overwatch" Uprising event has been running in the shooter game across all gaming platforms since early April. Unfortunately, there still no announcement about follow-up event or any future seasonal events. But given the game's popularity, users can still expect more from Blizzard.

In other gaming-related news, "Overwatch" players might receive a news space map. The news about the new map is no longer new, Blizzard has already announced recently that the studio was working on three new "Overwatch" maps. Overwatch players have been waiting for the new details about the rumored new maps ever since Blizzard made the huge confirmation, the GamingBolt reported.

According to reports, Overwatch players have been data mining the audio files from Overwatch events back in June 2016. Reports said that the data mined "Overwatch" audio files suggest a space map could be coming for the game. Stay Tuned for more updates.
