‘Pokemon Go’ Update: Legendary Pokemon Event Sooner Than Expected; ‘Pokemon Go’ Players Hatched One Of Gen 2 Pokemons [VIDEO]

Niantic made it known that the highly anticipated "Pokemon Go" Legendary Event is coming sooner than everyone expected. Niantic CEO John Hanke even hints on how "Pokemon Go" players can utilize their legendary Pokemon in gyms, as well as its limitations.

While Niantic CEO participated in a question and answer portion in a high school event, the Niantic CEO shared details about the much awaited "Pokemon Go" legendary event. As the Legendary Pokemon is one of the most asked features by most players, it's not a surprise that Hanke was again asked when will the event launch in the location-based augmented reality game. Nonetheless, Hanke confirmed that the game will introduce legendary Pokemon sooner than everyone expected, Game Rant reported.

It's a good news for "Pokemon Go" players that Niantic CEO Hanke claims that the mobile game will roll out the first legendary Pokemon soon. Based on Hanke's statement, it is possible the event will be launched within 2017. Some "Pokemon Go" players expect the event will arrive on the mobile game's first year anniversary.

Meanwhile, the Gen 2 starter Pokemons (Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita) are considered quite rare by "Pokemon Go" players. The eggs that were obtained after the "Pokemon Go" Easter event have just started hatching into the Gen 2 starter Pokemon.

As the users at Silph Road on Reddit confirmed the discovery, "Pokemon Go" gamers can find Gen 2 starters in the 5km eggs. It appears that the video game company implemented this change after the Easter event. Nevertheless, several "Pokemon Go" players have been reporting that they hatched one of the Gen 2 Pokemons they found after the Easter event, TNH Online reported.

Also, the Easter event gave "Pokemon Go" Trainers the chance to hatch Pokemon creatures not usually found from 2km Eggs. In spite of that, the video game developer did not make any official announcement about the changes.
