Samsung Galaxy Note 8 To Copy S8 Stunning Design, Not Its Mistake; Software Build Numbers Revealed [Video]


The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be as refined and yet as stunning as the Galaxy S8 and S8+, but it will have a virtual, not an ill-placed fingerprint sensor. The software build numbers have just been revealed indicating the phablet's imminent arrival expectedly by the second half of the year.

An artist made a concept render of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 following the aesthetics of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ as can be seen in the video below. The general philosophy of Samsung's latest design portfolio include no physical buttons, curved displays, rounded corners, and almost not there bezels on the top and at the bottom, wccftech reported. It is clean following a minimalist vibe and stunning with its bright and crisp display.

However, as elegant as it is, the artist was not well attuned to recent reports on expected specs. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 concept render still has the fingerprint sensor at the back along with a single rear-facing camera. Samsung already knows the fingerprint reader at the back of the S8 is a mistake for it sits too close to the camera lens. It even has Bixby constantly reminding users to wipe the camera lens when the camera app is launched.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be the first to feature a virtual fingerprint sensor. This design was initially intended for the S8 but production schedules did not allow it. The upcoming phablet is also expected to feature new innovations like the 4K Infinity display and a dual camera setup. The South Koreans are poised to make a big launch, its first true one after the Note 5.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to arrive soon reportedly by fall. A good indication is the release of its software build numbers alongside those of the refurbished Note 7. Just last week, Samsung confirmed that the Note 7 will be refurbished, another hint that firmware for the Note brand is really underway, GSM Arena reported.
