GTX 1080 Ti confirmed specifications include 4K capability but why it doesn't sound attractive?

GTX 1080 Ti launch is highly-anticipated by the tech enthusiasts and it's been confirmed that the Ti reportedly has 35 percent more muscles than GTX 1080. The offerings include 12 billion transistors with 28 SMs (128 cores each), boasting 3584 CUDA cores and 1480 MHz base clock, WccFtech has learned.

Specs-wise, GTX 1080 Ti offers a powerful configuration set but it seems that consumers would rather wait for AMD's upcoming unveiling. Here's why!

GTX 1080 Ti compared to AMD Radeon RX Vega

AMD and Nvidia produce high quality GPUs but AMD shines in the pricing region. It's been the go-to graphics card for an affordable alternative without sacrificing performance, according to Overclock.

AMD has been offering GPUs for budget concern gamers with the RX 460 and 470. Radeon RX Vega may be its top of line product but it is safe to assume that it could be a hundred cheaper than the premium GTX 1080 Ti.

AMD hasn't fully revealed Radeon RX Vega at Capsaicin and Cream 2017 but Vega is surely to out with higher bandwidth memory. Previous leaks suggest at 8 GB of HBM2 and 12.5 Teraflops -staggering numbers that outshine GTX 1080 by 2.5 points.

The upcoming graphics card will have a Vega architecture that's able to significantly increase gaming performance. It is the top tier that AMD could sell to take on the GTX 1080 Ti.

With the new graphics architecture, the Radeon RX Vega is expected to deliver steady frame rate for immersive VR experience. Furthermore, with AMD current GPUs being priced modestly, it can be argued that the company will apply the same strategy to its Vega card.

AMD didn't provide further details at the event but several media outlets have reported Radeon RX Vega will be launched sometime between May 30 and June 3.
