Nexus 6P Hardware, Software Traces Reportedly Found in Google Pixel 2; Google Assures Zero ‘Supply-Demand’ Issue

By

No matter how many smartphones Google released, Nexus 6P will always be a mark of excellence for Android smartphones because of its hardware and software combination. Now that Google is prepping up for Pixel 2 smartphones, several speculations suggest that the new devices might adopt the specs of the well-loved Nexus 6P.

Nexus 6P Rumored Presence in Google Pixel 2

It could be difficult for some loyal Nexus users to hear straight away from Google regarding the Nexus 6P discontinuation. And while Pixel and Pixel XL have proven to be the best Android phones of 2016, many are still hoping for Google to re-launch the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X handsets.

The current situation is unlikely for Google to address the fans' request and Nexus 6P revival remains in the fans' wish list. But some of Nexus 6P's hardware and software components are likely to be put inside the hood of the upcoming Pixel 2 as rumors suggest.

However, comparing Nexus 6P specs and Pixel 2 rumored specs, the rumors will be stand corrected. According to PC Advisor, the latter will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC while Nexus 6P runs 810 version of the same processing chipsets; while there's no mention of Pixel 2's RAM and storage capacity, reports claim that it will be higher than Nexus 6P.

Google Will Produce More Pixel 2 than Needed

Aside from ensuring that Pixel 2 will be waterproof and dustproof, another issue will be addressed by Google in the new handsets. The search giant assures zero demand and supply issues on the next two premium smartphones unlike the Pixel and Pixel XL that frequently go out of stock, according to XDA Developers.

Pixel 2 sounds like a great smartphone but while it's good to hear about its rumored specs and features, Droid Report learned that the upcoming premium devices might come with higher price than Pixel phones. However, it's worth mentioning that despite having Pixel-branded smartphones in the market, Nexus 6P will always be the number one favorite of Android users.
