‘Pokemon Go': Another Evolution Trick for Your Eevee

By

"Pokemon Go" update rolled out last week and fans were quick to find the Easter eggs for Eevee. It's a little secret that will let gamers determine the Pokemon's fate. There are specific, easy ways that players can do to evolve their Eevee into its several evolution types such as Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and even Umbreon, and Espeon.

An Eevee Evolution Trick You Should Be Doing

When "Pokemon Go" released its update last week, it opened a secret way for players to evolve their cute Eevees into its several evolved versions. The evolutions, as IGN reported, are randomly triggered. If you want your Eevee to evolve specifically, you can try specific tricks.

Naming an Eevee "Pyro" will evolve it into Flareon, "Rainer" for Vaporeon; and "Sparky" for Jolteon. If players want their Eeevee to evolve into an Umbreon, they must name it "Tamao". If they want it to evolve into an Espeon, they must name their Eevees "Sakura".

Gamers must also remember to capitalize the first letter to make it work. Although Umbreon and Espeon are available to be evolved into all day in "Pokemon Go," Eevee can only be evolved into Umbreon during the night and Espeon during the day both in Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver.

More "Pokemon Go" Tricks to Evolve Eevee

The tricks mentioned above only work once. The evolution will be random after regardless of how many times a player renames their Eevee on the "Pokemon Go" server.

Another trick gamers can add on their book is revealed by Pokemon Go Hub, BGR reported. According to the Go Hub, gamers can make sure their Eevees evolve into an Umbreon or Espeon by walking 10 km and obtaining two candies with the Eevee as the Pokemon Buddy.

Eevees that walked 10 km with their trainer as their Buddy but wasn't set as Buddy when it evolved will only evolve either into a Flareon, Vapoeron, or Jolteon randomly. If the Eevee also only walked 10 km with the trainer as a Buddy but failed to collect two candies will also only evolve randomly into the three types. But both of these failures only mean one thing: no Umbreon or Espeon.
