The latest leaks on the Samsung Galaxy S8 reveal some big hardware changes that align with previous reports. The South Koreans have redesigned its flagship phone to have an edge-to-edge display with no home physical home button, now seen for the first time in a newly leaked image. Moreover, "system dump" of files from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 reveal slight software tweaks as seen in a mock-up image featuring the home, back and multitasking keys.

As launch draws near, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is bound to make an appearance and it just did yesterday via a Twitter user, Ice Universe. Though the images cannot be verified as credible, what it shows align with previous reports making them worth looking into. The purported first ever image of a working S8 confirms that the South Koreans have ditched the physical home button, allowing for more flexibility in the design.

The upcoming flagship device also has very minimal bezels or met the "barely there" status of the S7 Edge. It also has rounded corners, the same features seen in the LG G6 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix. As can be seen in the leaked image, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is seen with the screen on, but The Verge is skeptical about its authenticity. The Always-On Display always has the big clock, which makes the leak looking more like a static screen and not the real OLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 featured in the leaks comes in Silver and a Black model complete with a glossy black aluminum frame. It also shows that the sensors at the top of the phone making an unsightly presence. However, this is a small compromise to include the iris scanner feature seen in the Note 7.

The South Koreans have also made some software changes in the home, back and multi-tasking icon design as seen in the clipart mock-up photos allegedly belonging to the Samsung Galaxy S8. Android Police was informed by a tipster of finding these mockup images in the most unlikely places, in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The "system dump" of files from the newest tablet to unveil in MWC this Sunday confirms that the fingerprint sensor has been relocated at the back. It is now positioned at the left portion of the camera lens.

The files also reveal Samsung's new dock for the Galaxy S8. The dock brings a desktop-like experience that is seen in the Windows Continuum. The South Koreans are calling it "DeX." More details will be revealed as the newest flagship phone is expected to launch in a separate event in New York City on March 29. The device is also expected to come in two variants, which will be released on April 2.
