Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Jump Magazine reveals additional details about "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" movie. The said information includes the film's cast, new characters, visuals and the production crew involved in it.

Shōnen Jump Features 'Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry' Film Updates

Fans have been eagerly hoping for any "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" anime movie updates and now, the wait is over as Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Jump Magazine features the film in their latest release. The said publication reveals major details about the project last Wednesday in their 12th issue.

According to Comicbook, the magazine releases details about "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" cast and new characters as well as the production crew of the movie project. Aside from these, Hiro Mashima's poster visual has also been featured.

As per the aforementioned source, the film's latest poster reads, "That power ... is it hope or destruction". Though the plot is still under wraps and the production keeps mum about the storyline, fans' are convinced that the creators are keeping this for a reason -- a surprise perhaps. The majority are expecting that this film could be as good as the series or much even better.

As for the other details, the film is currently slated to premiere in Japan three months from now. The announcement of "Fairy Tail" second movie project was made two years ago. This is after the first installment (released on August 18, 2012) successfully charms a lot of viewers, anime fans or not.

'Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry' Movie: Cast, Characters And More

Meanwhile, the original cast of the anime series reprises their role in "Fairy Tail: Dragon cry" film. This includes the lead stars Tetsuya Kakihara (Natsu Dragneel) and Aya Hirano (Lucy Heartfilia). Rie Kugimiya (Happy) and Yūichi Nakamura (Gray Fullbuster) also stars with Sayaka Ohara (Erza Scarlet), Satomi Satou (Wendy) and Yui Horie (Carla/Charle).

Along with their comeback to the big screen, the characters will also be in new character designs which include their outfits. The said designs are made by animation director Yuuko Yamada.

Moreover, Anime Network News reported that aside from the original cast, "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" movie will also introduce new faces namely Animus, Zash, and Sonia. The character details are as follows:

-Animus, a man who looks like a king based on his garments, and whose expression suggests he has an ulterior motive.
-Zash, a man who looks both evil and strong.
-Sonia, a beautiful young woman.

As per the abovementioned source, Tatsuma Minamikawa serves as the director while Shoji Yonemura and Yasuharu Takanashi work as the scriptwriter and music scorer.

"Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" movie premieres on May 6 in Japan.
