‘Iron Fist’ First Trailer Shows Danny Rand Wielding His Chi, But Colleen Wing Steals The Limelight [VIDEO]

"Iron Fist" has finally released its first official trailer showing a glimpse of what the fourth Defender is capable of inflicting. While Danny Rand (Finn Jones) shows off his martial arts skills, it is Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) who stole the limelight with her own superb style of fighting, which is why fans have been asking for a Colleen spin-off with Misty Knight.

"Iron Fist" is the newest TV series from Marvel Netflix. Danny's story is the final piece to complete the lineup of the upcoming series, "The Defenders."

Marvel has just released yesterday the first official trailer after several months of silence with only a short footage revealed last October. The new trailer reveals the story of Danny from getting stranded in the mountains to his returning barefoot in New York City, 15 years after.

Young Danny was the only survivor of a plane crash where he lost both his parents. He is rescued by monks and taken to the mystical city of K'un-L'un, the "City of Immortals." Here Danny was trained in the ancient martial arts and later on learned to summon the power of the Iron Fist.

He returns to New York City after learning that his father's company has been infiltrated by criminal elements. The trailer hints that Harold Meachum (David Wenham), the long-time business partner of Danny's father may be possibly in cahoots with the bad guys according to Den of Geek.

However, it was the few seconds clip of Coleen showcasing her talents while fighting big burly men inside the cage that impressed the fans, Gizmodo has learned. A full clip of the fight sequence has already been shown during the New York Comic Con last October and fans' reaction was typically the same.

Marvel fans have been asking for a Misty Knight spin-off that will also feature Colleen, another member of the Daughters of the Dragon. Moreover, the trailer also shows Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) from "Luke Cage" as part of the ensemble cast.

"Iron Fist" is scheduled to debut in Netflix on March 17. In the meantime, check out Danny and Colleen in the new trailer below.
