NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Falls Between GTX 1080 and Titan X

Excitement is apparent among the members of the PC gamers community because of the recent speculation that NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti specs that falls between the GTX 1080 and Titan X. This comes with a possible release date that was revealed by an MSI representative to Tech Buyer's Guru website.

Accordingly, NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti will sport a 10GB of GDDR5 VRAM instead of the most anticipated GDDR5X from GTX 1080 and Titan X. According to MobiPicker, since the card will use GP102 chip, the GDDR5 VRAM has 348-bit memory bandwidth and does not affect the performance of the card.

Furthermore, despite the fact that NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti lacks 256 CUDA cores compared to Titan X, the latter has higher clockspeed than the latter with 1623 MHz and 1531 MHz, respectively. For this reason, the GTX 1080 Ti is expected to provide more power to be able to achieve 60 fps in 4K gaming resolution.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Price Point

NVIDIA's purpose for GTX 1080 Ti is to target gamers who don't want to splurge more than $1000 to play 4K games with higher frame rates. For this reason, the upcoming GPU is expected to have a price range from $800-$900 since the GTX 1080 costs $600 and Titan X amounted to $1200.

PAX East Event which will take place on March 10, 2017 is said to be the most probable launching date for NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti. According to PC Gamer, the game show event is the most appropriate venue for the launching of the new GPU.
