"XXX: Return of Xander Cage" zoomed to the top spot in the international box office after it did not do well in the US one. It did not help matters that critics gave the movie bad reviews.

According to Variety, "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" earned $50.5 million in 53 territories. It generated top numbers in India with $7.3 million, France with $3.1 million, Russia with $5.5 million and Germany and Mexico with $2.8 million each. The movie has an $85M budget with support from Chinese companies.

According to The Verge, "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" is a dumb action movie. The brightest spot is not the film's star, Vin Diesel, but the movie's main antagonist Donnie Yen who oozes charisma. He takes over the movie as soon as he starts his fighting scenes. Vin Diesel resembles the character he plays in "The Fast and the Furious" as he is all smiles while he spews his effective one-liners.

According to The Guardian, "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" has Vin Diesel spewing some of the worst one-liners ever said in movie history. Fans would usually flock to see these B-movies for their silly action scenes and this movie does not disappoint as it contains a lot of that. One example would be a scene where Vin Diesel would jump off an airplane despite not wearing any parachute. It would also be impossible to believe that guys who take selfies while on the edge of skyscrapers are tasked to save the world.

"XXX: Return of Xander Cage" stars Vin Diesel as Triple X, "Game of Thrones" Rory McCann as Tennyson, Ruby Rose as Adele, Kris Wu as Harvard Zhou and Nina Dobrev as Becky Clearidge. The film is directed by DJ Caruso and follows Xander Cage on his mission trying to recover an unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box. Check out trailer:
