Two technology giants are again competing to present their next-generation hybrid devices this year. Reports circulating it will be a competition of the 2-in1 market as Microsoft will star its Surface Pro 5 while Samsung its Galaxy Tab S3.

While the current Surface Pro 4 performed outstandingly as one of the best performing devices available in the 2-in-1 hybrid device market today, speculations bursts about Microsoft still upgrading it to its next generation Surface Pro, Smart Stock News reported. It claimed that the hybrid device will be powered by Intel's latest and greatest chipset.

If this be true, then Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be faster than Surface Pro 4, however, tech writers reported that it will suffer a low performance in power consumption. It is hoped for that with the implementation of Intel's latest processor it will eventually solve the poor battery issue present even in the current Surface Pro model.

It is worth noting that Microsoft Surface line has become something of a trailblazer, CNET reported, as Apple and Google had borrowed the envelope-pushing features of Surface's snap-on keyboard and multitasking chops in its iPad Pro and Pixel C devices. All these innovations are widely anticipated today as well as devices coming from rival Samsung with its Galaxy Tab S3, which is due to launch anytime soon, Trusted Reviews reported.

Since Samsung is very evasive of media about its features and specs, it is speculated that that it will borrow plenty from Samsung Galaxy S7, the source added. This is not the first time Samsung has kept its tablets largely under wraps but somehow leaks will always find its way.

Leaks have hinted the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3  will feature the powerful Exynos 7 Octa 5433 chip and will revert to 16:10 display screen which should incorporate the company's traditional use of AMOLED technology. Sources are positive that if this will push through, it will be the company's opportunity to incorporate a 4K resolution display.

It is again a wait and see game for fans and consumers alike, as their favorite tech giants will still have to unveil their individual bets for this year's best hybrid device.
