Asus X00GD Leaked; Phone Packs 5.2-inch Display and Runs Android Nougat

Another Asus phone just received TENAA certification - meaning that it will have an imminent release date in China. The device was initially spotted in the Chinese mobile certification with model number X00GD.

Specs-wise, Asus X00GD phone sports 5.2-inch display with octa-core processor under its hood. There is no word on which SoC brand it is but speculations point at a Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset. This is plausible as Asus has already sent out invites for its Zennovation event at CES 2017 and the promotion materials put Qualcomm logo next to Asus'.

The tech community has even made an assumption, stating that X00GD could be the Zenfone 4 that Asus is planning to unveil at the consumer event.

The device appears to have Android Nougat pre-installed, BGR reported. What's interesting is the three RAM: 2 GB, 3GB, and 4GB and ROM variants: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. As for the camera front, Asus X00GD is said to carry 13 MP rear-camera with dual LED flash and 8 MP selfie camera.

As far as the design is concerned, the device seems not to deviate the smartphone's signature. IT is, however, a bit heavy with 169 grams due to the whopping battery it carries, 4,850 mAh. Asus X00GD measures 149.5×73.7×8.85 mm, GSM Arena reported. The upcoming Asus phone is highly anticipated on Jan. 4.

There will be three Asus X00GD color variants available: Black, Luxury Gold and Rose Gold.
