There is a window of opportunity for the South Korean multinational electronics company LG to unleash a new smartphone much sooner than the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8. The LG G6 with a strategically planned date of release, supported by a strong promotion should help LG company sell more devices.

LG is aiming to have the LG G6 smartphone out in stores in February 2017. Wherein the LG G6 smartphone will be launched during the MWC 2017, which is scheduled for Feb. 27 through March 2 in Barcelona, Spain. As far as rumors are concerned, tech fans won't be seeing the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 during the event, ETNews reported.

The LG G6 is said to be drastically different compared to its predecessors. LG was going for an all-new design for the LG G6 that implements both metal and glass, which results in the dismissal of the removable battery. There's even been word that LG G6 will be available with an iris scanner.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8 smartphone is expected to serve as the saving grace for Samsung following the fiasco of Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The standard variant of the Galaxy S8 is said to be a 5-inch display package, while the Galaxy S8 Plus variant will come with a much bigger 6-inch display, which is even larger than the 5.7-inch display of Note 7. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will pack 8GB of RAM, along with a chip produced through the 10nm process, according to Phone Arena.

On the other hand, according to Macotakara, Apple is reportedly launching a new mid-range smartphone under the moniker of iPhone 8. The Cupertino based tech company will unveil a 5-inch iPhone that resembles the specs of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. In spite of that, rumor has it that iPhone 8 will sport a brand new design, wherein the smartphone is likely to roll out with an all-touch frontage with zero bezels.
